The Floaterhoist bike hoist was designed by Andrew Mountain while he was completing his machinist apprenticeship. An avid bicyclist with one-too-many bikes to store in his small living space, Andrew drew on his experience using cranes and hoists in an industrial setting to come up with a never-seen-before solution to bicycle storage on the ceiling. More than 50 prototypes were built, each new prototype a little better than the last.
